Ambassador: Russia may sign deal for wheat sales to Venezuela soon

MOSCOW, Jul 19 (PRIME) -- Russia expects to sign agreements to restart wheat supplies to Venezuela in 2023 during a meeting of a high-level bilateral commission, Ambassador Sergei Melik-Bagdasarov said on Wednesday.

"There is an initiative on both sides. Another meeting of a high-level commission will take place this year, it must be held in Moscow in order of priority. We expect that these agreements will be settled and formalized at this meeting," the ambassador said.

According to Bagdasarov, no deals have been signed on the matter so far.
